Waiting for the Matchbox Children

I went to an antique shop and bought a torn page from a 1920's book and two vintage matchboxes. I really like how they used matchboxes then as a means of advertising and promoting products and establishments. It ranges from cigarettes, car batteries, diners, motels, beer, pubs, repair shops, and whatever you can think of. They even used matchboxes as campaign paraphernalia with the candidate's face printed on it. I think I'm gonna start a vintage matchbox collection.

P.S. I'll give the Blessed are the Children antique illustration to P. I know he'll love it. And the Tom Waits biography I got from my latest bookstore visit.
